SOCIETY FOR MOLECULAR BIOLOGY & EVOLUTION
SATELLITE MEETING

About the meeting
This meeting will establish the first cross-disciplinary network dedicated to the Evolution of Reproduction. During the course of three days, our goal is to approach the study of germ cell function, human reproductive health and infertility from a yet-unexplored perspective. For this, we have brought together experts in evolution and reproductive biology under the auspices of an interdisciplinary science-driven approach to sexual reproduction.
The main aims of this meeting are to tackle three outstanding questions:
i- What are the origins of sexual reproduction?
ii- How does evolution constrain the function of reproductive cells?
iii- What can evolution teach us about infertility

Emphasis on early career stage professionals
The participation of early career stage professionals is strongly encouraged. Registration fees are low, and a travel grant program will provide some additional support to the attendance of graduate students, postdocs and early career professionals. Please indicate on the registration form whether you would like to be considered for this support (limited numbers).
